A trip of Ponomaryov "VESNA" Children's Choir at the international choral competition

Ponomaryov "VESNA" Children's Choir was the only children's choir among all the participants. The final of the competition took place in Barcelona on October 13, 2019 in the magnificent Palau de la Música Catalana, the only concert hall registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The audience was crowded, tickets were sold out long before the start of the competition. Competitive performances were broadcast live in the Eurovision format.

For its performance at the Palace of Catalan Music, the Moscow choir chose a varied program consisting of works by contemporary Russian composers (E. Podgaits, S. Ekimov), Russian classical music (S. Taneyev), works of the Renaissance (J. Gallus), works of modern Spanish composer (H. Sanchez) and folk songs (Mexican, Russian). The challenge prize “Silver Rose” was received by a male choir from Denmark, performing in the style of modern American choral music - barbershop.
